A U.S.-brokered three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine (May 9-11) for Victory Day was marred by mutual accusations of violations. Ukraine reported 147 battlefield clashes in 24 hours and at least 3 civilian deaths, while Russia accused Ukraine of over 1,000 violations and claimed to have shot down 57 Ukrainian drones. Trump suggested the ceasefire could be extended beyond May 11, but Kremlin spokesman Peskov said no extension has been discussed. A 'thousand for thousand' prisoner exchange was announced alongside the ceasefire. U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to visit Moscow soon.
