EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated on May 11 that all six EU accession negotiation clusters for Ukraine could be opened by July, with the first cluster potentially launched by end of June during Cyprus's EU Council presidency. Preparatory work is already underway at the technical level. Hungary under new PM PΓ©ter Magyar signaled a more positive stance, saying 'all candidate countries will be treated equally,' after years of blocking under OrbΓ‘n. Ukraine's Deputy PM said Ukraine could meet necessary conditions by end of 2026, with a possible accession agreement in 2027.
