The US Army awarded AeroVironment a prototype agreement under the Low-Altitude Stalking and Strike Ordnance program for the Switchblade 400 — a man-portable, medium-range anti-armor loitering munition weighing under 40 pounds. The Switchblade 400 features advanced aided target recognition with autonomous detect/classify/engage capability for day/night operations in GPS-denied environments. It is the first loitering munition purpose-built for AV_Halo, AeroVironment's modular C2 ecosystem. This comes on top of a recent $186M delivery order for Switchblade 600/300 variants.
