SoundHound AI acquires LivePerson for $43M to build enterprise customer base

SoundHound AI acquired LivePerson, a conversational AI and customer engagement platform, for $43 million. The acquisition is aimed at building SoundHound's enterprise customer base by buying established customer relationships rather than building them organically. LivePerson's existing enterprise customers give SoundHound immediate distribution in the customer service AI market.
