Suzhou Suoer Electronics, the parent company of bone conduction earphone brand Mojawa, completed a Series A+ funding round of tens of millions of RMB led by Zhenhai Capital. The company, founded by a former Apple engineer who worked on iPhone and Apple Watch haptic products, will use the funds to expand overseas retail channels and develop AI-powered sports assistance features. The bone conduction headphone market is projected to grow from $12.8B in 2024 to over $81.5B by 2033 at a 22.8% CAGR.
Technical significance
Mojawa's approach — using wide-frequency vibration technology derived from haptic motor design rather than traditional acoustic engineering — represents a novel technical path in bone conduction audio. The integration of heart rate monitoring and AI coaching into the earphone form factor positions it as a sports AI wearable rather than just an audio device, potentially creating a new product category at the intersection of hearables and health tech.
