OpenAI finalized a $10 billion joint venture called 'The Deployment Company,' raising over $4 billion from private equity firms including TPG, Brookfield Asset Management, Advent, and Bain Capital. Within hours, Anthropic announced a separate $1.5 billion venture anchored by Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs, with additional backing from Apollo Global Management, General Atlantic, GIC, Leonard Green, and Sequoia Capital. Both ventures embed AI engineers directly into portfolio companies to redesign workflows and integrate models into core business operations. The simultaneous announcements mark a pivotal shift in enterprise AI distribution, leveraging private equity portfolio networks as a go-to-market channel. Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate grew from $9 billion at end of 2025 to over $30 billion by late March 2026.
