Medtronic, the world's largest medical device maker ($33.5B revenue, 95,000 employees, 150 countries), confirmed a cyberattack on corporate IT systems after the ShinyHunters group claimed theft of over 9 million records containing PII and terabytes of corporate data. Medtronic stated no impact on products, patient safety, operations, or financial systems, noting that IT, product, and manufacturing networks are separate. The company's MiniMed subsidiary confirmed its systems were not affected. Medtronic was removed from ShinyHunters' leak site after the April 21 ransom deadline, though the company has not confirmed whether a ransom was paid. The 9 million figure remains unverified by Medtronic.
