Earlybird Closes €360M Fund VIII, Largest in Firm's 30-Year History, Targeting AI and Deeptech

Earlybird VC closed its eighth fund at €360 million, the largest in the Berlin-based firm's approximately 30-year history, bringing total assets under management to €2.5 billion. Fund VIII will focus on AI infrastructure, foundation models, and deeptech from Seed through growth stages. The fund introduces a new perpetual ownership model for longer-term holdings. Early portfolio companies include Black Forest Labs, SpAitial AI, Sintra, Arago, Porters, and Rivia. Earlybird has raised a fund every 3–4 years through all market cycles.
