Intel hires Qualcomm veteran Alex Katouzian to lead Client Computing and Physical AI Group

Intel announced that Alex Katouzian, a 20+ year Qualcomm veteran who previously led mobile, compute, and XR, will join as EVP and General Manager of the new Client Computing and Physical AI Group starting in May 2026. The role covers Intel's PC business plus robotics and autonomous machine computing. Intel also named Pushkar Ranade as permanent CTO. This is Intel's second senior external hire in a month, following former Samsung VP Shawn Han joining foundry services, as CEO Lip-Bu Tan restructures leadership to compete in the AI era.
