Microsoft Agent 365 Reaches General Availability at $15/User/Month as Enterprise AI Agent Control Plane

Microsoft Agent 365 became generally available on May 1, 2026, priced at $15 per user per month standalone or bundled in Microsoft 365 E7 at $99/user/month. The platform serves as a control plane to observe, govern, and secure AI agents — including local agents on Windows endpoints via Defender and Intune, with multicloud registry sync for AWS Bedrock and Google Gemini agents. Each AI agent gets its own Microsoft Entra identity, governed through Purview labels and Defender runtime controls. Local agent management starts with OpenClaw on Windows endpoints, with GitHub Copilot CLI and Claude Code support announced. Originally previewed at Ignite 2025, Agent 365 spent six months in the Frontier early-access program before GA.
