Aseon Labs, a Y Combinator Spring 2026 batch company, raised $10 million led by Crane Venture Partners to build automated pit stop infrastructure for robotaxis. The pods will clean and charge autonomous vehicles without human intervention, addressing the inefficiency of robotaxis driving miles just to get serviced. The startup targets the growing autonomous vehicle market including Waymo operators.
Technical significance
Robotaxi scaling requires solving the physical infrastructure problem. Automated maintenance depots could significantly improve fleet utilization rates, which is critical for the unit economics of autonomous ride-hailing services.
