OpenHands (formerly OpenDevin) released version 1.7.0 on May 1, 2026, adding a planning agent that breaks down complex tasks before execution, a real-time task list tab in the right panel, a slash command menu for agent skills, and Bitbucket Data Center support alongside existing GitHub and GitLab integrations. New model support includes Claude Opus 4.6, GLM-4.7, GLM-5, Kimi-K2.5, Qwen3-Coder-Next, Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview, and MiniMax-M2.5. OpenHands has 65K+ GitHub stars and claims to autonomously fix 87% of bug tickets same-day. The Software Agent SDK separately released v1.20.0 on May 4, 2026. OpenHands is MIT-licensed, model-agnostic, and supports Docker/Kubernetes sandboxed deployment.
