A group of 119 members of the European Parliament urged the European Commission and national governments to ensure that a new EU ban on AI 'nudifier' systems can be enforced when it takes effect on December 2, 2026. The prohibition, added through amendments to the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, bars AI systems designed to create non-consensual sexual imagery. The MEPs asked for designated national enforcement authorities and stronger use of the Digital Services Act against platforms carrying such material.
