BMW i Ventures launched its third fund at $300 million, bringing total capital under management to $1.1 billion. The fund will invest from Seed through Series B across North America and Europe, focusing on agentic AI, physical AI (robotics/autonomous vehicles), industrial software, advanced materials, and supply chain technologies. BMW Group is already deploying humanoid robots at its Leipzig, Germany plant as part of a European physical AI pilot. The firm has invested in over 90 companies since 2011 with more than 30 exits, including GaN Systems (acquired by Infineon for $830M). Managing partner Marcus Behrendt stated the firm focuses on what will determine the future, not just what is trending.
