Yale's Chief Executive Leadership Institute (CELI) published a comprehensive governance framework for agentic AI on May 2, 2026, covering banking, healthcare, retail, and supply chain sectors. The framework identifies eight governance variables: transparency, accountability, bias, data privacy, decision reversibility, stakeholder impact scope, regulatory prescription, and structural governability. The research analyzed hundreds of company materials and conducted dozens of conversations with senior US tech leaders over six months, prompted partly by capabilities demonstrated by Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview model. Led by Jeffrey Sonnenfeld (Yale SOM), the authors argue private-sector governance built today will become templates other industries adopt tomorrow.
