San Francisco startup Altara has raised $7 million in seed funding led by Greylock, with participation from Neo, BoxGroup, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Google's Jeff Dean. Founded in 2025 by Eva Tuecke (former Fermilab physicist and SpaceX engineer) and Catherine Yeo (former Warp AI engineer), Altara builds an AI platform that unifies fragmented technical data for hardware-intensive industries including batteries, semiconductors, and medical devices. The company aims to compress weeks of manual data investigation into minutes by automating the analysis of sensor logs, temperature readings, and historical reports across disconnected systems.
