Tessera Labs Raises $60M Series A Led by a16z to Automate ERP Modernization with AI

Tessera Labs, a San Jose-based startup founded in 2025 by Kabir Nagrecha and Ming Chang, raised $60 million in an oversubscribed Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz. Foundation Capital, Myriad Venture Partners, and Osage University Partners also participated. a16z partner Seema Amble joined the board. Tessera builds a vendor-agnostic, multi-agent AI platform for enterprise ERP modernization (SAP, Oracle, etc.) that compresses transformation timelines from years to weeks and reduces costs by more than half. Early adopters include a global top-5 biopharma company and a Fortune 500 document technology company. The founding team includes AI researchers from Meta, Netflix, and Apple, plus platform experts from SAP MaxAttention. Capital will accelerate platform development, scale go-to-market, and expand AI research and domain expert teams.
